As a Schema Therapist, I am fascinated with the way in which the brain, and especially our memory, influences our emotions and behaviors. My specialties lie where personal and professional lives intersect: personality, relationships, sexual functioning, and work related challenges. Whether issues arise in the Boardroom or the bedroom my mission is to empower individuals, couples, families, executives and organizations emotionally, cognitively, and behaviorally to be their best self by maximizing strengths and improving coping styles. Together, we craft a results oriented strategy that is adapted to your personality style and addresses your specific concerns.
My Blog features topics that are of particular interest to me: Self-Care, Compassion, Mindfulness, and the ways in which mindfulness can improve functioning, the impact that our personality can have on our relationships and professional pursuits, how our executive function skills (behaviors driven by an area in our brain called the Frontal Lobe) influence the development of our personal and professional lives, and how effective functioning can get off track.
I bring the advanced training and education of a Licensed Psychologist with specialties in Schema Therapy, neuropsychology, human sexuality, divinity and business to our work. As a Certified Sex Therapist by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists, an Advanced Schema Therapist and Trainer in Individual Schema Therapy and an Advanced Trainer in Schema Couples Therapy, I offer proven solution focused methods that will improve your relationships and performance personally and professionally.
Clients say I am non-judgmental, compassionate, supportive, straight forward, and clear. A few of the things that clients have shared are that I:
"get to the bottom of things"
"understand what is really going on"
"help them get to a better place."
We work together to maximize your potential and improve your relationships and performance.
